Protein - Your Questions Answered
There are two types of Protein; Incomplete and Complete.
Incomplete Proteins are low in essential amino acids and must be eaten in large quantities if you are to gain sufficient levels of amino acids from them. For vegetarians especially, combining lentils and beans (pulses) with vegetables gives you a good source of complete protein. This means you must include any of the various readily available beans and lentils in your diet.
Complete Proteins are animal proteins. Meats are a good source of complete protein, however, you should try to avoid red meats whenever you can. , You should always try and have three parts vegetables and one part of meat (even with fish).
